Ruffled Scarf

This little gem is AWESOME!

If you're looking for something original, this is for you! Its made out of Triana yarn - a super frilly, almost fishnet-like, texture. Its dip dyed and includes a range of 3 or 4 coordinating colors per skein. I get crazy compliments on this scarf every time I wear it!!

Aphgans, Blankets & Throws...OH MY!

While rather time consuming, the adult sized throws I make are wonderful. They range from a very soft and delicate texture to double thickness for warmth. They can be customized by color, style, pattern...really the sky is the limit!

Do you feel scrappy?

I've been scrapbooking for about 6 years now. It all started when my mom and I walked into a really fabulous scrapbooking store. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

We worked on a few simple projects. Then after getting engaged about a year later, I had this idea to make (yes MAKE) my wedding invitations and all other paper products associated with the upcoming wedding. Since that point, my craze has mushroomed and can't be stopped. Noteable projects include all of my major milestones for scrapbooks (engagement, pre-wedding: bridal shower, bachelorette party & rehearsal dinner, wedding, honeymoon, maternity, and now my kiddo's books), about a gazillion cards (including Christmas cards for my annual mailing), calendars and my 12 recipes of christmas series.

Baby Blankets

These are my absolute favorite things to make!!

Babies are nutured and loved for 9 months before they join us; so what better way to welcome them into our lives than with an ultra soft, ultra cuddly, made with a ton-of-love blankie?? Plus you instantly score major kudos giving one of these as a shower gift. Sure tiny clothes are adorable, but handknit blankies get you jaw-dropping oooo's & aaaaah's.

Here's the latest blankie that I made for a friend. It measures 40" x 30" and made with Bernat Baby Soft Yarn - Light Pink.

This is a family pattern - shell like - gorgeous!

Super Perk Alert! These beauties also serve a useful purpose for all those mommies who are worried about SIDs. While not researched or founded, I do know that my blankies are much more airy and porous than solid cotton or fleece counterparts. So they are more breathable, and pose less of a suffocation concern. Cute and useful....HECK YEAH!

A KnitWit is born

About 5 years ago, one of my many New Years Resolutions was to teach myself a dying art: how to knit. So I headed down to Michaels, picked up a skein of yarn and a pair of gigantic knitting needles and sat down with a mission. Four hours later I still hadn't figured out what I was doing, but I kept at it, found a few more resources and video tutorials, and before long I was holding my first scarf.

VICTORY!

From that day on a KnitWit was born!!

While that first scarf was a bit worse for wear, I kept at my new found hobby and have worked on umpteen scarves, beanies, pot holders, baby blankets, apghans, etc. So, if you are interested in owning an item that's been handmade with love, then I'm your girl. There's no pattern I won't try.

Welcome

Ever since I can remember, crafting has been "my thing". While a lot of people look at products and wonder where they can buy it at, I look at those same things and figure out how I can make it. I absolutely love creating things with my hands; putting in a little time and a lot of love, and walking away with some pretty awesome stuff.

While I'm first and foremost a mom of twins, crafting has become my escape. My quiet solitude and necessary "ME" time. But, I'm a glutten, so here's the loves of my life!
